This novella came as a bit of a surprise to me. While I've read and enjoyed other works from this author they were - like so many others in this genre - written from the perspective of the submissive. I was expecting a narration by Autumn as Blake ravaged her body and pushed her past her limits. I was expecting that, while Blake is surrounded by beautiful women, he is inexplicably drawn to Autumn. Let me say plainly: this is not that sort of book.

This book is a day in the life of Blake, an owner of a strip club which secretly provides much much more for it's special VIP clientelle, and it is told by him. Blake is a man with a troubled past and a dangerous future. His only relief: using women for his sadistic pleasures, slowly tearing open their innocence to reveal to them the true depths of their desires He loves knowing he'll bring them to heights they'll desperately crave again - for the rest of their lives - but probably never grasp. Blake doesn't want to know you, he just wants to discover you.

While it makes for a change of pace, reading this story told from Blake's perspective, I enjoyed this and hope the rest of the story is forthcoming.
